Ukrainian authorities announced on Wednesday that at least one woman was killed due to a Russian missile strike overnight on a residential building in eastern Ukraine. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko indicated that five people, including a child, were rescued, and at least one person is believed to be still trapped under the rubble following the attack on the town of Selydove, northwest of the city of Donetsk, which is under Russian control. Klymenko added that the attack caused severe damage to the four-story building. Irina Shushora, a police paramedic, told Reuters at the scene that two strikes occurred around 1 a.m. local time, with one missile hitting the building while the other landed about 100 meters away. Rescue teams early Wednesday morning began clearing the debris and warned residents to stay away from the building, which appears to have been completely destroyed by the attack.
