Chelsea Signs Young Brazilian Angelo from Santos

Chelsea, belonging to the English Premier League, announced the signing of young Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel from Santos today, Sunday. Chelsea did not disclose the details of the contract, but British reports stated that the 18-year-old player joined on a long-term deal after the English club paid €15 million ($16.84 million) to Santos. Angelo will join Chelsea after playing 129 matches with Santos across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing ten assists. He became the youngest player to appear in a match in the Brazilian top tier at the age of 15 years and 308 days in 2020, breaking the previous record held by the legend Pelé. Angelo is also the youngest player to score in the history of the Copa Libertadores.
