Canada announced today, Sunday, the imposition of a new package of sanctions on Russia due to the death of the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly stated in a statement that the sanctions package targets six Russian officials, including senior officials and high-ranking employees in the Russian prosecution, judiciary, and prisons.
