Eddie Rice, the police chief of Okmulgee County in Oklahoma, announced the discovery of "the bodies of seven individuals on Monday," at a property near the small town of Henrietta in the state. Among them were the bodies of two missing teenage girls and the body of a convicted sex offender.
Tulsa World reported that two teen girls who went missing over the weekend in rural Oklahoma were found dead on Monday afternoon, their bodies discovered alongside a convicted rapist and four others whose identities have yet to be confirmed.
In a press briefing broadcast by an online television station, Rice clarified that "officers found the bodies while searching a home where Jesse McFaddin, a convicted sex offender, lived," noting that "the other bodies likely include members of the McFaddin family." He also pointed out that "the county coroner has not yet officially identified the bodies."
Authorities had previously issued a notice regarding the disappearance of the two girls but rescinded it after the bodies were found. KOTV reported that McFaddin, 39, was scheduled to begin trial on Monday for allegedly using a mobile phone while incarcerated to send sexual messages to a teenage girl.
