Violent Clashes Between Al-Quds Brigades and Israeli Forces in Jenin

Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, announced today, Saturday, that its members are engaged in fierce clashes with Israeli forces and armored vehicles deployed around the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank. The Palestinian News Agency reported that Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin and opened fire on Palestinians near Ofer Prison. The agency indicated that seven individuals were injured on Saturday evening from live bullets due to confrontations with Israeli forces near the Ofer military prison in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah. It added: "Israeli forces stormed the city of Jenin early today from several directions amidst gunfire, and surrounded the government hospital, the Red Crescent Society headquarters, and Ibn Sina Hospital." Sources for the Palestinian agency indicated that Israeli forces attacked dozens of Palestinians gathered around the prison, waiting for the release of the second batch of prisoners in Israeli prisons, as part of the temporary ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, firing at them with live ammunition and tear gas, leading to the injury of seven citizens, including a child.
