Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev confirmed on Friday that Russia no longer has "red lines" towards France following President Emmanuel Macron's statements that Paris no longer has red lines regarding support for Kyiv. Medvedev wrote on the platform "X" that Macron stated, "there are no red lines anymore, and there are no boundaries" regarding support for Ukraine. This implies that Russia also has no red lines concerning France. The Deputy Chairman accompanied his post with the Latin phrase "In hostem omina licita," meaning "everything is permissible concerning the enemy." During a meeting with opposition leaders earlier, Macron mentioned that "there are no limits" and "no red lines" in France's support for Ukraine. The opposition leaders and the French president failed to agree on measures to support Kyiv during a meeting on Thursday, with the leaders warning Macron against dragging Paris into the conflict in Ukraine.
