Mobile Mental Health Clinic in Lebanon Funded by Japan

The Japanese embassy announced in a statement that Ambassador Magoshi Masayuki attended the inauguration of a mobile mental health clinic for the "Embrace" association, supported through the humanitarian aid program for community-based projects. It noted that "this pioneering initiative, implemented by the 'Embrace' association, will enable more than 700 vulnerable individuals across Lebanon, especially in rural areas, to access quality and affordable mental health services." In his speech, Ambassador Magoshi emphasized the importance of this unique initiative that aims to improve access to mental health services for those in need, regardless of geographical challenges. He also praised the continuous contribution of the "Embrace" association to the mental health sector in Lebanon. Ambassador Magoshi confirmed that "Japan will continue to stand by Lebanon and its people and assist Lebanon in facing the unprecedented challenges." Meanwhile, Atoui stated, "This project plays a pivotal role in empowering vulnerable patients who need access to mental health services and in raising awareness about the importance of mental health care in the country." She expressed her "appreciation for Japan's ongoing support and her steadfast commitment to working tirelessly for a better life by improving access to mental health services."
