Doctors at a hospital in Vietnam found chopsticks in a patient's skull after he suffered from headaches and vision problems for six months. The details reveal that a man entered a hospital in Dong Hoi, Quang Binh province, after complaining of persistent headaches, weakened vision, and fluid discharge from his nose, according to "odditycentral." A CT scan showed tension pneumatocele within the skull and two foreign objects protruding from his nose into his brain. After careful examination, the foreign objects were identified as broken chopsticks. The patient recalled how the chopsticks ended up in his skull, suggesting it happened about five months prior. He stated that during an exit from a party, he got into a fight before ending up in the emergency room. However, the doctors treated his injuries without assuming that the other man had inserted chopsticks into his skull. Nguyen Van Man, head of the neurosurgery department at Friendship Hospital, indicated that choosing the ideal surgical approach is essential to avoid any future complications.
