Iraq Reopens Northern Refinery in Baiji After Over 10 Years of Closure

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani stated in a statement today, Friday, that Iraq has reopened the Northern Refinery in Baiji after being closed for more than 10 years. The refinery was seized by ISIS in 2014 and suffered significant damage during the fighting between the organization and Iraqi security forces, which eventually managed to regain control of it.
