Iraqi Minister of Transport Razak Mohibis Al-Saadawi agreed with his Turkish counterpart Abdulkadir Uraloğlu on the opening of offices to monitor the implementation of the Development Road project in both Baghdad and Ankara. An Iraqi ministry statement noted that "the ministers agreed to open offices to follow up on the implementation of the Development Road project in both Baghdad and Ankara." Al-Saadawi emphasized that "global companies are looking forward to promising investment opportunities in the Development Road project, and that Iraq is serious about fulfilling all the project’s requirements." Additionally, it was mentioned that "the Turkish Minister of Transport praised Al-Saadawi's initiatives in the air transport sector between the two countries." Al-Saadawi also requested the Turkish side to facilitate visa issuance procedures for Iraqis and to open offices for issuing visas at airports. Earlier on Friday, Minister Razak Mohibis Al-Saadawi discussed the technical details of the Development Road project with his Turkish counterpart. The Iraqi embassy in Ankara stated in a statement that "Minister Razak Mohibis Al-Saadawi met with his Turkish counterpart Abdulkadir Uraloğlu in Ankara, and discussed the technical details related to the Development Road project." The statement added that "both sides reviewed the project’s completion rates."
