A unit of the Moroccan coast guard rescued 58 illegal migrants of African nationalities off the coast of the Laayoune region on Wednesday. Among them were 10 women and 3 minors who were on a rubber boat attempting to sail to the Canary Islands. The General Command of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces reported in a statement on Thursday that these individuals were provided assistance before being handed over to the relevant authorities in the region.
