On Tuesday, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, expressed his concern regarding the ongoing inspections of medical convoys in the Gaza Strip and the detention of healthcare workers in the region. He revealed that a mission led by the organization to the Al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza was stopped for inspection twice on Saturday while en route to northern Gaza and during the return, adding that employees from the Palestinian Red Crescent were detained on both occasions. He stated, "We are deeply concerned about the prolonged inspections and detention of healthcare workers, as this jeopardizes the lives of patients."
