The military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed today, Sunday, that Israel will not be able to recover any of the hostages unless it participates in negotiations regarding conditional exchange agreements. Abu Obeida, spokesperson for the Al-Qassam Brigades, stated in a voice message broadcasted by Al Jazeera, "The truce has proven that none of the enemy's captives will be freed except through an exchange process."
He added that Israel would not be able to retrieve the detainees by force, referencing what he described as a "failed operation to free one of them." He continued by saying that "Hamas fighters have partially or completely destroyed 180 military transport vehicles, tanks, and bulldozers during the 10 days since fighting resumed in Gaza." He reported that "our fighters managed to destroy more than 180 military vehicles either partially or completely in the areas of Shuja'iyya, Zeitoun, Sheikh Radwan, Jabalia refugee camp, Beit Lahia, and east Deir al-Balah, as well as in the eastern and northern parts of Khan Younis in southern Gaza."
