The death of former Lebanese football star Mahmoud Mohammed Barjawi, known as "Abu Taleb," has occurred at the age of 83. Barjawi held the position of a mukhtar in the capital, Beirut, and had a long history in Lebanese football. He was one of its most famous figures and pioneers, having excelled as both a player and a coach. He is notably associated with the late Adnan Al-Sharqi in the coaching staff of Al-Ansar club, where Abu Taleb served as Al-Sharqi's assistant. He had previously played for several clubs, most prominently Al-Najma, Racing, Tadamun Beirut, and Al-Ansar.
