True national memory does not choose its wounds; it bears all to forge a pact against repetition.
This painful anniversary arrives as Lebanon stands at a decisive juncture: either its people unite under a sovereign state that monopolizes the bearing of arms and enforces the rule of law, protecting citizens regardless of affiliation and position, or it remains hostage to militia logic and the culture of exclusion.
We are at a moment that cannot tolerate sectarian leisure or regional strife. National unity today is not a slogan for occasions; it is an existential necessity built on transparency, bolstered by justice, and rooted in fairness for all the components of this nation without exception.
Today, before the souls of the Ehdan victims and all civil war martyrs from all sects and regions and the wars that followed, I renew my vow to strive for a Lebanon where its people live freely and equally, united not only by geography but by genuine citizenship and allegiance to a state of justice and law. May God bless the martyrs and help Lebanon find its way."
