Jordan Denies Responsibility for Aid Incident in Gaza

An official Jordanian source confirmed in a statement to "Al Arabiya.net" that the four Jordanian planes, which conducted an aid drop over the Gaza Strip today, Friday, executed their operations as usual without any recorded errors. The source indicated that the Jordanian planes were not the cause of the malfunction that led to the free fall of aid over Gaza.

Videos shared on social media showed aid falling into the Gaza Strip from aircraft without parachutes opening, resulting in casualties and injuries according to Palestinian media in northern Gaza. The responsible source from the National Center for Security and Crisis Management in Jordan mentioned that the technical failure that led to some parachutes not opening, causing them to fall freely to the ground during the airlift in Gaza on Friday, did not originate from a Jordanian aircraft.

He clarified that the four Jordanian planes involved in the drop, in collaboration with five other countries, operated without any issues. He also stated that Jordan continues its efforts to support Palestinian brothers in Gaza and deliver aid through all available means, both on land and in the air.
