Qaqour Calls for Enhanced Transparency in Donations to Public Schools

MP Halima Qaqour emphasized in a statement to the Parliament regarding the educational situation. She noted that "there is a priority to open public schools, and we demand enhanced transparency in the funds from loans and donations coming to public schools. As for private schools, following the cancellation of the law due to pressure from private schools, this has affected the fair treatment of retired teachers. The minister established a protocol that is not legally binding. This protocol failed to include a clearance certificate. What has happened is that many schools have raised tuition fees in an unstudied manner. We are waiting for the minister to take the necessary measures and to use his powers to stop the stubbornness of some private schools."
