Members of Parliament, lawyers, and activists held a sit-in at the entrance of the Court Palace in Beirut in solidarity with lawyers Wasef Al-Hareb, Ali Abbas, and Pierre Gemayel, who were summoned by the Bar Association for questioning. This was based on a letter sent to the association by the Public Prosecutor in Beirut, Judge Zahir Hamada, requesting permission to prosecute the mentioned lawyers for "contempt of court." During the solidarity gathering, a confrontation occurred between the Lebanese army and the protesters, during which Deputy Melhem Khalaf was assaulted and prevented from entering the Court Palace.
