Saudi Arabia Announces Significant Increase in Confirmed Gas Reserves

Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman announced that Saudi Aramco has successfully added large volumes to the confirmed reserves of gas and condensates in the unconventional Al-Jafurah field. He clarified that the additional confirmed volumes reached "15 trillion standard cubic feet of gas... This achievement is the result of applying the highest international standards in estimating and developing hydrocarbon resources to ensure their proper utilization." Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman stated in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency that the reserves in the Al-Jafurah field are now estimated at approximately 229 trillion standard cubic feet of gas and 75 billion barrels of condensates.
