The movement of western envoys to Lebanon has halted after everyone became convinced of the impossibility of separating the southern front from what is happening in Gaza, and the inability to reach any agreement regarding Lebanon before the aggression on the sector ceases, according to "Al-Akhbar." While attention is focused on the ongoing negotiations for a ceasefire in Gaza, Prime Minister Najib Mikati announced yesterday, Thursday, that "American envoy Amos Hochstein will visit Lebanon soon," noting that "there is serious talk potentially early next week about stopping military operations in Gaza under the name of Ramadan Agreement." In this regard, informed sources told "Al-Akhbar" that "the American envoy's visit to Lebanon is unconfirmed, and there is no specific date, neither near nor far. Everything depends on the ceasefire in Gaza; if it does not happen, Hochstein will not visit Lebanon."
