The Hamas leader Osama Hamdan confirmed that "there is no discussion at the moment about any new round of negotiations." He stated, "We want answers regarding the cessation of aggression, the withdrawal from Gaza, the return of the displaced, and the reconstruction of Gaza. The occupation has not provided any commitments in its responses, and its answers have been attempts to procrastinate." He added, "We appreciate the efforts of the mediators, but the Israeli side is trying to obstruct the negotiations."
