The Minister of Finance in the caretaker government, Dr. Youssef Khalil, emphasized the commitment of the "Ministry of Finance to take every measure that serves and develops national production, whether at the level of the Lebanese market or in terms of supporting its exports, including necessary customs measures and others."
During a meeting held in his office, which included the Director-General of Finance George Maalouly, former minister Nicolas Nahas, and the head of the Industrialists' Association, Selim Zein, along with a delegation from the association, he pointed out that the Ministry of Finance is working diligently to stabilize the financial situation by all available means in response to the difficult crisis and the significant deterioration the country is experiencing.
Khalil stressed the "importance of encouraging industry, as the joint efforts between the public and private sectors are capable of contributing to enhancing growth opportunities."
