Gallant: We Plan to Increase Fire Intensity in the North

Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated today, Sunday, that the negotiations regarding Gaza are separate from the northern front in the event of a ceasefire agreement. He said, "If a temporary ceasefire is reached in Gaza, we will increase fire in the north until Hezbollah's complete withdrawal." He added, "Hezbollah cannot find alternatives for the leaders we are targeting, and we continue our strikes to curb its capabilities. Nasrallah is testing our patience, and he knows that we can do to Lebanon significantly more than what we are doing in Gaza, and he should not think that the Gaza ceasefire will include Lebanon." Gallant also mentioned that he is keen to assess how Israel can combat Hezbollah's increasing activities across the heavily fortified border.
