The Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that "Russia has banned 227 American citizens from entering the country, including U.S. State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller." The ban, which was announced on the ministry's website, also includes deputy ministers of commerce, defense, and energy, as well as former U.S. ambassador to Russia John Sullivan. Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Moscow has largely imposed symbolic entry bans on thousands of Western politicians, journalists, and others whom it accuses of "anti-Russian" actions and statements.
