Sisi: We Are Making Every Effort to Stop the Fighting in Gaza

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi mentioned today, Saturday, that "Egypt will not hesitate to make every effort to stop the fighting and work to deliver aid to the Gaza Strip." Sisi confirmed during a celebration organized by the Ministry of Endowments for the Night of Decree: "Egypt's firm position is to strive for the Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights and to establish a Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital." The Associated Press reported that a senior U.S. administration official stated that President Joe Biden wrote on Friday to the leaders of Egypt and Qatar, urging them to pressure Hamas to reach a hostage agreement with Israel.
