Jordan Assumes Presidency of the Digital Cooperation Organization for 2024

The Digital Cooperation Organization, an international multilateral organization aimed at enabling digital prosperity for all by accelerating inclusive and sustainable growth of the global digital economy, announced the official selection of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to assume the presidency of the organization in 2024. Consequently, Jordan's Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hiyamanda, will be the new president of the Digital Cooperation Organization Council. Jordan will lead the organization through its Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, overseeing the strategic direction of the organization in the coming year and supporting the continued implementation of key initiatives and programs launched by the organization. The announcement regarding Jordan's presidency was made during the third General Assembly meeting of the Digital Cooperation Organization held in the Kingdom of Bahrain yesterday, where the meeting saw the attendance of ministers representing the 16 member countries, as well as guest countries, international organizations, and various partners and observers, during which the presidency was officially handed over to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
