Arab League Calls for Protection of Palestinian Women and Girls

The Arab League has demanded the protection of Palestinian women and girls and the cessation of all forms of violence against them. It expressed admiration for the Palestinian woman for her heroic resilience amid ongoing war crimes and genocide committed by Israel for over 75 years. In a statement issued today, Thursday, in observance of International Women’s Day on March 8, the Arab League expressed "its strong condemnation of the serious escalation exercised by the occupying power in the occupied Palestinian territories, including Gaza, and the devastating humanitarian, social, and psychological impacts on the Palestinian people, particularly women and children."

It noted that "the continuation of the criminal actions taken by the occupying authorities against Palestinian women increases the level of suffering and poverty," emphasizing the importance of sustained aid to meet urgent needs, particularly for medical supplies and life-saving medications for hospitals. The Arab League reiterated its commitment to working collaboratively with all member states to support women's empowerment issues at both the regional and international levels, expressing appreciation for Arab women for their multiple and pioneering roles in advancing the Arab nation across various domains.
