The Saudi Public Prosecution has concluded its investigations, accusing two citizens of causing the death of a person through intentional collision between them. The investigation revealed that the defendants drove at high speeds, compromising public safety, and that one of them intentionally swerved into the other following previous disputes, colliding with the intent to cause harm. This led to one of the vehicles veering off course and crashing into a streetlight, resulting in the death of one passenger and injuring others. The two defendants have been detained, and a public criminal lawsuit has been filed against them before the competent court, including evidence of their intentional act that caused the victim's death, with a demand for the prescribed penalties in this regard. The Public Prosecution emphasized the importance of protecting and safeguarding human life as one of the five necessities, and that tampering with or being negligent regarding lives warrants severe legal accountability. It also stressed the importance of adhering to traffic regulations and not being lenient about vehicle operation and the safety of its occupants.
