The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that coalition forces successfully intercepted and destroyed a drone and two anti-ship ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis from Yemen. In a statement, CENTCOM said: "A coalition aircraft successfully engaged and destroyed an unmanned surface vessel (USV) launched by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists from an area controlled by the Houthis in Yemen." The statement also noted that "coalition forces succeeded in intercepting and destroying two anti-ship ballistic missiles launched by the Iran-backed Houthi terrorists from Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen toward the Red Sea. No injuries or damages to U.S. or coalition vessels were reported." The statement added: "These weapons pose an imminent threat to the coalition and commercial vessels in the region. These measures are being taken to ensure freedom of navigation and to make international waters safer for coalition and commercial vessels."
