The head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gibran Basil, noted that "while we affirm our political stance of not linking southern Lebanon with Gaza, our national and humanitarian position can only be one of condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli aggression, and solidarity with our people in the south." He added: "The troubled Netanyahu violates all ethical standards and kills civilians in Gaza and southern Lebanon, while the world barely issues statements of mild disapproval. A tribute to the souls of the martyrs and innocent victims, and condolences to all those who have lost a loved one due to Israel's criminal acts."
