A senior official from the European Commission revealed that the European Union will provide funding to Egypt amounting to 7.4 billion euros (8.06 billion dollars) from 2024 to 2027 under an agreement to expand cooperation, which will be announced in Cairo today, Sunday. The official clarified that the funding includes financial aid of five billion euros, investments worth 1.8 billion euros, and grants totaling 600 million euros. The official also indicated that emergency funding of one billion dollars from the financial aid will be disbursed in 2024.
