Nawaf Salam's First Comment: "My Concern is for My City to Return as the Mother of Laws"

In his first comment on his new position, Lebanese Judge Nawaf Salam wrote on the platform "X": "My election as President of the International Court of Justice is a great responsibility in achieving international justice and upholding international law. What also comes to mind at this moment is my constant concern for my city Beirut to return as the Mother of Laws, as it is known by this title, and for us as Lebanese to succeed in establishing the rule of law in our country and to ensure justice among its people."
