Turkey... Death of a District Head from a Gunshot at Home

The newspaper "Hurriyet" reported that the head of the Ekinözü district in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey, Masoud Koshkun, was found dead from a gunshot wound to the head in his home. The report stated: "According to available information, the incident occurred in the Ekinözü area. It is believed that the district head's driver went to his residence in the morning to take him to the office but was unable to contact him. The driver then informed the police and medical services. Upon entering the district head's home, the police found Koshkun with a gunshot wound to the head. During the examination, doctors confirmed the death of the official." Koshkun's body was transferred to the forensic institute for an autopsy. Local police have begun an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
