Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived today, Saturday, in the Algerian capital to participate in the seventh summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum. Qatar News Agency stated: "His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State, arrived today in the capital of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, to participate in the seventh summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum." It added: "At the forefront of welcoming His Highness upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene International Airport was Mr. Nadhir Arbaoui, the Prime Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, along with Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ali Al-Naimi, Qatar's Ambassador to Algeria, and members of the Qatari embassy." The activities of the seventh summit for heads of states and governments of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, chaired by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, are being inaugurated today in Algiers.
