Security Warns Netanyahu of Rising Settler Violence Against Palestinians in the West Bank

The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported that the head of the Israeli Security Agency (Shin Bet), Ronen Bar, issued a warning to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the escalation of "terror" by settlers against Palestinians in the West Bank. The newspaper cited Bar in a message sent to Netanyahu's office, stating that "Jewish terrorism fuels Palestinian terrorism," noting that the beneficiaries of this situation are the Hamas and Islamic Jihad movements. Last week, settlers killed a Palestinian in the village of Burqa in the Ramallah area following clashes between the two parties in which settlers used weapons.

In the same context, the Israeli news site "Behazitz" reported that among the suspects in the killing of the Palestinian in Burqa is Elisha Yard, a former spokesman for Knesset member Limor Son Har, along with another suspect. The site stated that an Israeli court extended the detention of the two suspects for five days. Additionally, Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee stated on Sunday that army forces conducted an engineering survey of the house of the Tel Aviv attack perpetrator in preparation for its demolition, located in a village near Jenin in the West Bank. Adraee added via the "X" platform that "some of the suspects threw an explosive device at Israeli forces, who responded with gunfire without any injuries on their side."
