The commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet appeared today, Tuesday, in a video, attending a meeting of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, clearly refuting reports of his death by Ukrainian forces. Viktor Sokolov participated in the meeting held by the Russian Ministry of Defense via video conference to discuss developments in the military operation in Ukraine. Ukraine had announced on Monday that it killed the Russian fleet commander in a strike executed on Friday against the naval headquarters in Sevastopol in the Crimean Peninsula.
