Arrest of 3 Lebanese in Haret Hreik Area

The Army Command - Directorate of Guidance issued the following statement today, Saturday: "On 16/2/2024, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, supported by a unit from the army, carried out a raid in the Haret Hreik area – southern suburbs. They arrested Lebanese individuals (R.D.), (M.S.), and (H.Y.) for forming a gang involved in armed robbery and drug trafficking. During the arrest, the latter opened fire towards the patrol, and the patrol members responded in kind, resulting in his injury. He is wanted on several arrest warrants for firing his weapon and his involvement in a conflict that led to the death of an individual. A military pistol and a quantity of cocaine were seized from him. The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees began under the supervision of the relevant judiciary."
