Ukrainian newspaper Ukrainska Pravda reported on Wednesday that Ukrainian drones targeted a large Russian landing ship off the coast of Crimea, causing damage. The newspaper published several videos showing a column of smoke over the sea off the southern coast of Crimea, as well as a helicopter flying over the water. Oleksii Honcharenko, a member of the Ukrainian parliament, stated that the targeted ship is the Caesar Kunikov, which participated in Russian military operations in Georgia in 2008. Reuters was unable to independently verify the report or the videos, and there were no comments from Ukrainian military intelligence. The newspaper and Honcharenko did not specify when the attack occurred. The Ukrainian military announced that the armed forces had destroyed the Russian landing ship Caesar Kunikov off the coast of Crimea in the Black Sea. The military stated on Telegram, "The Ukrainian armed forces and the intelligence unit of the Ministry of Defense destroyed the large landing ship Caesar Kunikov. It was in Ukrainian territorial waters near Alupka at the time of the bombing."
