Mohamed Salah Ties Thierry Henry's Record

Egyptian star Mohamed Salah scored a new European goal for Liverpool on Thursday night, equaling the record held by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. Salah participated in the 3-1 victory over Austria's LASK Linz in the first round of the Europa League group stage.

Salah scored the third goal for the "Reds" just two minutes before the end of regular time in the second half, after receiving a pass from Darwin Núñez inside the penalty area. The British newspaper "Mirror" revealed that this is the 189th goal for the 31-year-old player with Liverpool.

According to statistics from Opta, Salah has scored 42 goals for Liverpool in European competitions, including both the Champions League and the Europa League. This is the highest number of goals scored by a player for a single English team, tied with the Frenchman Thierry Henry. "Mirror" stated that it is "just a matter of days or weeks before Salah surpasses the French record."
