Killing of Iranian Officer and Injury of His Wife in Armed Attack

The governor of Sarawan, Saeed Tajlili, announced on Twitter today, Sunday, that unknown assailants opened fire on the commander of the Law Enforcement Forces in Sarawan, Major Ali Reza Shaheraki, this morning, resulting in his death and serious injuries to his wife. "Colonel Ali Reza Shaheraki, head of the Criminal Investigation Department of Sarawan, was assassinated by unknown individuals and lost his life, and the governor of Sarawan states that his wife was also injured!"— Khalil Allah Balochi (@kalbalouchi) April 30, 2023. Days earlier, the former representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader in Sistan and Baluchestan and current member of the Assembly of Experts was killed in an assassination in the city of Babolsar, northern Iran.
