Ground Defenses Target Drone Flying Over Homs Countryside

The ground defenses of the regime forces in northern Homs targeted a drone flying in the skies of the area. According to sources, the drone had flown over the town of al-Suqaylabiyah in Hama countryside before heading towards northern Homs, with no reports of casualties. This marks the fourth such attack within 48 hours on regime-held areas in Syria. The Syrian Observatory recorded on October 26 the death of four civilians, including two women, due to the dropping of two bombs by a drone on civilian homes in the town of al-Ruba’a in western Hama countryside. Five individuals, all from the same family, were also injured, causing panic among the local residents. The regime's air defenses managed to shoot down at least six drones that attacked the Hama and Homs countrysides. The drone originated from areas controlled by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and other factions and flew over the city of al-Suqaylabiyah before heading to al-Ruba’a, while the ground defenses attempted to intercept it in the sky.
