Mrs. Nazek Rafiq Hariri congratulated "the Lebanese people, the Arab and Islamic nation, and all nations of the world on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday." She stated in a statement: "This blessed day represents an occasion for Lebanese men and women to unite, despite their differences, amidst the many and difficult challenges facing our beloved homeland, Lebanon." She emphasized that "we are called today more than ever, as a leadership and as a people, to embrace the human values proclaimed by our noble Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, which are shared by all heavenly messages, to continue the journey of rebuilding the state and strengthening its foundations, to adhere to the message of peace, tolerance, and coexistence that has always characterized our beloved country, and to confront all attempts to divert Lebanon from its message and its role as a beacon of peace, knowledge, and progress among nations and peoples, as always wished by the martyr President Rafiq Hariri."
She added: "In these virtuous days, we cannot help but remember the martyr President Rafiq Hariri and his noble morals and good deeds, as well as his constant assertion that he draws his strength to face difficulties and challenges from faith in God Almighty first and from the love and trust of the people in him secondly." She concluded: "We ask God Almighty for mercy and forgiveness for our precious martyr President Rafiq Hariri and for all the martyrs of the homeland. May you, Lebanon, the Islamic nation, and the entire Arab world be well, secure, and at peace, God willing."
