In the context of communications and consultations preceding Thursday's session, representatives of the "Strong Lebanon" bloc continued their efforts towards political forces, visiting delegations from Clemenceau, Ain al-Tineh, and Haret Hreik. MP Cesar Abi Khalil stated in an interview with "Al-Anbaa" that the bloc has prepared a paper outlining presidential priorities from the outset, saying: "While other political factions spoke about the characteristics of the president, we told them we have a file and vision, and we know the limits and powers of the president, which have shifted to the Council of Ministers, but the President of the Republic is a partner and should have a say." He added, "Once we finish discussing the priorities, we will move on to discussing commitments to find a candidate who enjoys the consensus of parliamentary blocs because our support for him is linked to a program, not characteristics. There are many distinguished individuals who do not have an electoral program." Abi Khalil continued: "We seek continuity in forming authority, and this was applied during President Michel Aoun's term. Is it acceptable to return to the period before President Aoun after his term ends?" He described the meeting in Clemenceau as good, adding, "It was a lengthy session where we discussed all issues related to the presidential entitlement." Regarding whether he expects this entitlement to be accomplished before the end of the constitutional deadline, he believed that "it is not impossible; if intentions are sincere, why not?"
