For weeks, the fever of the upcoming presidential elections in America has started to seep and spread among competitors, particularly between candidate Nikki Haley and former President Donald Trump, who consistently shows a lead in opinion polls over his former representative at the United Nations. Their competition has taken on a somewhat personal tone recently, even bordering on bullying, as Trump has repeatedly criticized Haley's appearance and her "not classy" dresses during his recent campaign events. Haley has hit back hard by focusing on his age and mental abilities.
In her latest attack, Haley aimed two birds with one stone, criticizing the ages of both Trump and current President Joe Biden, who is also seeking a second term in the White House. In a sarcastic post on her X account, she shared a photo of the "angry old men," as she described them, both wearing wool hats, with a caption stating "the competition nobody wants to see again," referencing the potential rematch between Trump and Biden as in 2020.
Haley has previously criticized the ages of the two men during television interviews and speeches to her supporters. The 52-year-old Republican candidate has often directed her remarks at the former Republican president, who confused her name with that of former Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during a speech. In one of her interviews, she emphasized that science and medicine confirm that as people age, their mental abilities decline, referring to both the 77-year-old Trump and Biden, who has just turned 81. Trump has also mocked the age of his Democratic opponent, labeling him as old, and last week, at a campaign rally in Nevada, he called for presidential candidates to undergo cognitive tests, seemingly in response to Haley’s challenge, who had requested the same.
