Lapid: I Discussed with Blinken the Need for a Solution in Gaza

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid stated that he "discussed with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken today the need to reach a solution in Gaza, particularly the release of the hostages held by Hamas during its attack on Israeli towns on October 7." Lapid added to reporters after his talks with Blinken that "the hostage agreement is difficult but possible," noting that Israel is also concerned about the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the need to avoid harming the residents of the enclave.
