# Video: UAE Celebrates Sultan Al Neyadi's Return to the Homeland

The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, welcomed astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi today, Monday, upon his return to the homeland after completing the longest space mission in Arab history, which lasted for 6 months aboard the International Space Station.

The President welcomed the Emirati astronaut's arrival, stating: "Al Neyadi is an honorable and inspiring role model for the youth of the UAE and Arabs, and a symbol of a country whose ambitions know no bounds." He wrote on his official account on the "X" platform that he and his brother Mohammed bin Rashid shared the joy of the UAE people in celebrating the return of their son, astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi.

He continued: "Sultan is an honorable and inspiring model for the youth of the UAE and Arabs, and a symbol of the aspirations of a country with no limits. With Allah's will, with representatives like him from our youth, our flag will remain high and our achievements will continue."

Recently, the Emirati astronaut expressed his happiness at completing his space mission and returning to Earth, noting that “there is still much more we can give in the field of space. We always say that this mission is just a small part of a comprehensive system. Perhaps we were in the spotlight, but the team behind the scenes worked for a long time to make the mission successful.”
