Lebanon's national football team players will begin a preparatory camp on Monday, the 19th, at the Residence Hotel in Ben Chii, Zgharta, under the guidance of Serbian coach Aleksandar Elitch. This camp is part of their preparations for upcoming competitions, taking advantage of the international break. The team will hold its first training session at 4:30 PM on Monday at Tripoli Stadium, where Elitch has set a long-term program that will extend until the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, allowing ample time to prepare the team.
The Serbian coach based his selections on some players included in the previous roster, as well as observations from recent matches, including Lebanon's games in the last World Cup qualifiers.
The coaching staff has called up 25 players to join the camp, including: Mehdi Khalil, Mohammed Haidar, Nour Mansour, Hussain Zain, Mohammed Nasser, Hassan Sarour, Maher Sabra, Mehdi Zain, Khalil Badr, Qassem Al-Zein, Hassan Korani, Said Awada, Ali Al-Sabaa, Nader Matar, Hassan Maatouk, Karim Darwish, Nassar Nassar, Zain Al-Abidin Fran, Mustafa Matar, Majed Othman, Alexander Maleki, George Maleki, Mohammed Ali Duhaini, Hilal Al-Halawi, and Hassan Saad (Sony).
Players from foreign clubs will join the camp successively, with the full squad expected to be complete by Tuesday evening.
