First Generation iPhone Sold for Over $130,000

Various websites reported that a first-generation iPhone was recently sold at auction for over $130,000. According to available information, a company called LCG Auctions offered the iPhone 2G for auction, initially listing the phone for $17,000. Within two days, the price rose, and it sold for $130,027. Some reports indicated that the phone was unused, still in its original packaging, and equipped with 4GB of internal memory. The company had previously sold a phone of this type for $190,000. It is noteworthy that Apple released the iPhone 2G in 2007, initially launching models with 4GB of internal memory. However, the production of these devices was quickly halted, and models with 8GB of memory were released instead, making the first generation approximately 20 times rarer and more valuable to collectors of vintage phones.
