After an Israeli drone targeted two cars in the town of Shahabiya, it was revealed that the target was Muhammad Shahouri, a Hezbollah official. Shahouri is the second party member to be assassinated by Israel in less than two hours in southern Lebanon. Later, Hezbollah mourned Shahouri in a statement: "With great pride and honor, the Islamic Resistance mourns the martyr and fighter Muhammad Hussein Mustafa Shahouri 'Jabir', born in 1994 in the town of Shahabiya in southern Lebanon, who ascended as a martyr on the way to Jerusalem."
