In an incident that is not the first in Iraq, "stray dogs" attacked a 12-year-old girl, mauling her body to the point of causing her death in the province of Najaf Al-Ashraf. A group of "stray dogs" launched a vicious assault on the girl, reportedly 12 years old, tearing into her body to the extent of exposing her innards in the neighborhood of Al-Nidaa in Najaf Al-Ashraf. Social media users described the incident as a "tragedy," calling for an immediate halt to the worsening phenomenon of stray dogs roaming the city and its neighborhoods, as they sometimes attack and pursue residents.
